Bookmatching Stone
THE MIRRORED EFFECT
Bookmatching is the practice of matching two stone surfaces, so that two adjoining surfaces mirror each other, giving the impression of an opened book.
Bookmatching natural stone such as marble by our highly skilled craftsmen delivers stunning results for kitchen worktops and feature stone wall cladding. The colours, patterns and shapes are truly amazing.
OUR BOOKMATCHING PROCESS
Naturally, the process starts at the source of the natural stone. Only the best pieces of natural stone are selected and used. In this blog we’re featuring a current project that uses Calacatta Statuario marble from Italy. The mirrored effect is achieved when our craftsmen slice the marble in two, ensuring the patterns fit together and creating a reflection of each other.
There are no margins for error during fabrication. Precision, professionalism and highly skilled craftsmanship are essential throughout the process. We use only the best materials, suppliers, transportation, machinery and state-of-the-art technology, ensuring a perfect fit is achieved on-site.
