EXCELLENT Based on 52 reviews Posted on Elizabeth PriceTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a fantastic experience with LBS Stone. They were always incredibly helpful and professional, providing perfect stone and marble surfaces and surrounds for a number of rooms, all cut and finished to perfection.Posted on Bruce McNicolTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great advice and service! We have used LBS twice in recent months. They provided beautiful tile and marble from their "offcuts" which act as shelves in our refurbished bathroom and shower. They add a real quality feel to the rooms and of course are incredibly hard wearing. Many thanks, Marcus and the team, for going the extra mile and making it all so easy!Posted on Julia VarelaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is my 3rd project with LBS. Great range of materials and lots to see in showroom. Everyone is super helpful and very professional; from enquiry to fitting.Posted on Angie PeskettTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What a great local company, so pleased we came across them. Marcus spent a lot of time with us deciding on which product to choose and he was also very patient with me!! Shane the surveyor was really helpful, our kitchen was a little uneven so he advised we needed to sort some things out first, which we did and our quartz worktop was fitted the week after. The installation team Ash and Luke were brilliant and very tidy. There was a lot of back and forth communication with Marcus as I changed my mind but nothing was to much trouble. I would definitely recommend LBS for their professionalism, support and their products. My photos don't do the worktop justice unfortunately.Posted on steve crossTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Fantastic local business, with a great range of products and excellent customer service. Marcus helped steer us to the perfect choice of material for our kitchen work surface. Competitive prices, professional installation team and great after-sales service. Only wish I had another kitchen to do !!!! Thanks all. Really pleased with end resultPosted on Nick ProbinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had our new quartz kitchen and utility worktops fitted a couple of months ago and are extremely pleased. We met with Lawrence several months before to discuss the various options and were pleased to have found a local business who could fulfil our needs with a wide variety of choices. Service was always professional and polite and the actual fitting done to an extremely high standard.Posted on Susan ThomasTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great service and selection at LBS stone. We borrowed some samples which really helped confirm our choice. The laser templating was very impressive with amazing attention to detail. We chose a lambs tongue edge for our grade 2 property not wishing to look too modern. Also our work top is eco friendly made in Germany with low silica content which is something we were concerned about. Marcus and Lawrence spent time discussing options with no pressure.Posted on Martin PhillipsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I Had some granite window sills & shelves cut for my bathroom. A pleasure to deal with these guys.. I'll be Back..Posted on Miriam ShovelTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Learn More About Our Stone Wall Cladding
Where can our stone wall cladding be used?
Our interior stone wall cladding can be applied to most flat interior walls and is designed for use in commercial spaces and home interiors. Examples of applications for our wall cladding include:
- feature walls in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining areas
- bathrooms and wetrooms, including within shower areas
- lobbies and reception areas
- commercial bathrooms
- retail spaces
- communal areas
- backdrops in high-end bars and restaurants
IMPORTANT – Wetroom and shower wall cladding
The walls of wetrooms, bathrooms and shower areas must be plumb, flat, and a waterproof tanking system must be installed before stone cladding can be measured or fitted. We recommend consulting a competent builder or bathroom installer and completing all constriction and tanking works before contacting LBS Stone to order or obtain a quote for your stone wall cladding. It is also important to consider the weight of stone wall cladding, and your walls must be constructed to support the stone.
What’s the difference between stone wall cladding and wall tiles?
Our stone wall cladding panels are cut from full-size stone slabs, and significantly larger than wall tiles. Large slabs of stone are used to keep seams to a minimum for a luxurious, architectural look with minimal joints and greater visual impact than tiles. This is ideal for modern interiors where clean lines are important or when a seamless finish is preferred. Stone wall cladding will often take less time to install than tiles and is easier to keep clean as there are no grout joints. This can be particularly advantageous for bathroom and wetroom applications.
What types of stone do we offer for wall cladding?
We can fabricate solid stone wall cladding in a wide range of materials such as marble, granite, quartzite, quartz, ceramic and porcelain. Our stone is sourced from a large portfolio of leading brands such as Silestone, Marble & Granite Centre, Uniceramica, Dekton, Caesarstone and Cullifords,
Our back-lit stone wall cladding is created from selected marble, onyx and quartzite as these natural stones are slightly translucent and allow light to highlight the material and veins. Our stone wall cladding is custom fabricated by us in Storrington to fit your space perfectly.
Porcelain, and suitable forms of granite, are particularly robust and may also be used for outdoor kitchens and bar areas. What’s more, ceramic and porcelain cladding is available in a huge variety of colours and patterns. Alternatively, we can supply luxurious quartz and marble cladding for bathrooms and kitchen feature walls. We can also combine wall cladding with matching worktops for a cohesive look.
The design possibilities are endless. If you are unsure which material is right for your project, our team will be pleased to discuss options and guide you through the stone selection process. A visit to our showroom in Storrington to see examples of our capabilities and stone samples is recommended.
How visible are the joints between each stone wall cladding panel?
We can install stone wall cladding panels with only very fine joints, and we use special colour matched epoxy compounds to joint each panel. Due to the large size of each panel, stone wall cladding has fewer joints than even large format wall tiles and joints will be much less visible than tile grout.
How are the edges of stone wall cladding slabs finished?
The exposed edges of our stone wall cladding slabs are routed and polished to leave a neat, attractive finish. We offer a wide range of edge finishes to suit your preference and interiors, from a simple bevelled edges to more decorative and elegant Ogee and Dupont profiles. We can also produce fine CNC mitred edges to create neat corner details. See examples of the different types of edge detailing we can create on our worktop edges page.
What is back-lit stone wall cladding?
Our back-lit wall cladding is made using translucent forms of marble, quartzite or onyx, with LED strip lights or lighting panels installed behind to project defused light through the stone panels. The stone wall cladding is installed on a special support frame, not bonded directly to walls, to allow space for the lights. This creates a soft ambient effect that beautifully highlights the natural veining and colour variation in the stone. Our backlit stone wall cladding creates a stunning effect in any home or commercial space. Visit our showroom to view our stunning book-matched illuminated stone feature wall.
What is book-matched stone wall cladding?
Book-matched wall cladding involves installing a series of pattern matched stone slabs side-by-side to create a mirror-like, symmetrical pattern. Each stone panel is cut from the same block of stone, with the veining and patterns reflecting each other like an open book. This technique produces stunning, luxurious feature walls and is popular for its bold visual impact. If you would like to see what we can achieve, we have a great example in our showroom in Storrington.
Can I use your stone cladding outdoors?
Yes, but our stone wall cladding is only suitable for use in outdoor kitchens or bar areas, and only porcelain and certain types of granite are suitable as they are weather-resistant and UV-stable. Stones such as marble or quartz are not recommended for exterior use as they can be damaged by weather and sunlight.
How much does stone wall cladding cost?
Pricing varies depending on the size of the area to be clad, your choice of stone, and the amount of fabrication required. As full-service stone suppliers and fabricators, we can offer very competitive prices and and the largest possible choice of stone. Please do contact us for advice and quote with no obligation.
